Nolan Baskins

I have been serving as the Children’s Ministry Assistant and KidzRock Volunteer Coordinator since August 13, 2018. My experience as a small group leader at CHAOS as well as being a part of the Knock-Patrick campus team for the Jamaica trip has helped me to be prepared for this position. In this job, I will be working with Children’s Ministry volunteers, teaching for 5th and 6th graders on Sunday mornings, and helping out in other ways.

I am very passionate about forming meaningful relationships with those around me as well as showing people the love that Christ has given me as a tangible reflection of the Gospel. I am also passionate about expressing myself and my faith through playing the guitar as well as a healthy dose of sarcasm. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my close friends playing guitar, drinking coffee and playing cards, or simply engaging in meaningful and thought-provoking conversations about faith, music, movies, or anything that really sparks my interest.

One of my favorite verses is Romans 6:5-11: “For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
