Lindsay McDonald

I joined the NAZ team in October of 2015 because I have a passion for hospitality and for ministry. I was looking for a position that would fit with my job with InterVarsity, a college ministry at UNI, and I was blessed to find the position at Nazareth, where I now serve as the full-time Receptionist and Food Pantry Coordinator. One fun part of being here at Naz is that I get to work alongside my husband, Jordan McDonald, who is a Worship and Music Arts Director.
In this position, I answer the phones and greet visitors at the Reception Desk during the weekdays. In addition, I make schedules for the prayer team and blood pressure checks. I also coordinate the Food Pantry appointments and the ordering of supplies for the pantry. You can find me at the Welcome Desk nearly every Sunday morning (and I always make sure that the candy dishes are full)!
I am passionate about making people feel connected and welcome. I also have a passion for college students and seeing them grow in their faith journey. When I am not at Naz or at UNI with my other job, I enjoy time with friends and family. Watching movies, traveling, and playing with my sweet dog, Molly, are some of my favorite activities.
Favorite verse right now? “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.” Philippians 2:14-16
