Laura Sohl-Cryer

I have a Master’s Degree in Communication Education and worked as an instructor of Communication at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and at UNI here in Cedar Falls. Before serving in my current role, I was blessed to be a part of the Children’s Ministry team with a focus on curriculum development and teaching. I felt called to join the staff in June 2015.

My primary responsibilities include maintaining the NAZ website, updating our social media resources (including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), and producing our print publications (including the weekly bulletin, the quarterly Messenger and other special print projects. I am also blessed to be a part of the teaching team and have the opportunity to share my heart through Sunday morning sermons several times throughout the year.

I am passionate about making sure people know the transformative power of God’s grace through Jesus Christ in their lives. I am passionate about spending as much time as possible with my kids and my husband.

I like to go on walks on the local bike trails with my husband in the early mornings, to explore the peace-filled beauty of many of our nearby hiking trails, to bake and cook for my family, and to spend time playing games and just hanging out with my kids. We also love to travel as a family.

Favorite verse right now? “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
(Philippians 4:13)
