Bob Ericson

I was Minister of Education from 1987-98 and invited by present pastoral staff to join them in visitation of members as well as do some teaching. I returned to staff in August 2015.
My primary responsibility is visitation of members in a variety of settings – hospital, home, assisted living, memory care unit, and hospice. I also teach one or two adult education classes each year.
The focus of my ministry has been a clear proclamation of the Gospel (the good news of Jesus Christ) and helping people see the connection between Sunday and Monday, that is, living out one’s faith in daily life.
I enjoy landscaping, raising raspberries, asparagus, rhubarb, and regularly exercising at the Cedar Falls Rec Center.
“A family Scripture verse that dates back to my childhood: “”He died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.”” 2 Corinthians 5:15
The verses that follow the above are important to me too: “”In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us.”” 2 Corinthians 5:19-20b”
