Discipleship U

Discipleship U Graphic

Discipleship U: Taking Steps Beyond Sunday Morning is an opportunity to learn about and practice Jesus’ command to His Church to both be disciples and make disciples. Being a disciple of Christ means that we follow Him, that we are changed by Him, and that we are committed to His mission to save people from their sins. As disciples, we engage with head, heart, and hands in following Jesus both within and beyond our church walls to where we live and work and play.

Foundational Principles of Discipleship

Our 2020 Lenten series will offer opportunities to participate in spiritual formation small groups, and everyone is invited!  The material we are using will identify true images of God in contrast to false images that many people live with and that inhibit the joy that God wants us to discover in our relationship with him.  This can literally be life changing!

The focus will be on the James Bryan Smith book, The Good and Beautiful God – Falling in Love with the God Jesus Knows.  Books are now available for purchase at the Welcome Desk.  Signups for group members will begin on Sunday, February 2, with a variety of groups available at different times and locations throughout the week.  Weekly group meetings will begin the week of March 1st and will last for 9 weeks.

If you have any questions or if you would like to sign up to join a group, please call the church office at  319-266-7589 or email info@naz.org.
