At Nazareth, we understand that faith takes root during the childhood years. That’s why we work hard to create “good soil” for the children in our church, giving them a Bible-based, fun and nurturing environment where they can learn about God and grow in their faith in Jesus.

Writing Cards Activity:  While you have the craft supplies out, make some cards or letters for a graduate you know, for a neighbor or friend who might be missing something this Memorial Day, or for a church family member who may be needing some encouragement.  Add to those notes Joshua 1:9 as a reminder of the promise that God is always with us.  Send those cards and letters this week!

Sunday Mornings

KidzRock is held from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

KidzRock began on Sunday, September 8, but we always take new registrations!

Children’s Registration Form

Volunteer Form

KidzRock is a highly engaging, age-appropriate, Bible-based, faith-building time for kids ages 3 (3-year-olds MUST TURN 3 BY September 15, 2019) to 6th grade from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings (drop off starts at 9:20 a.m.).  During this time, kids and volunteers worship together and learn about an important Bible truth through storytelling, video, teaching and/or drama presentations. Following the teaching, kids break into small groups for kid-relevant relationship building, discussion and activities with their leaders.

The following Sundays KidzRock doesn’t meet: December 1st, December 22nd, December 29th, March 15th, March 22nd, and April 19th.

The Nazareth Nursery is open during all  Sunday morning worship services and welcomes infants and toddlers up through the age of 3.

A room is provided for nursing mothers every Sunday morning. A closed-circuit television allows you to view the worship service. Please stop at the Information Desk on Sunday morning and ask for more information.

Checking In on Sunday Mornings

If you are a first time guest and would like your children to join us, please check in at the information desk near the Family Life Center through Door #6.  Our team will help you register your children and will guide you to their classrooms.

Wednesday Evenings

If Cedar Falls Schools gets out early or is canceled on a Wednesday due to weather, that automatically cancels Wednesday night student programming.

WOW (K-4th Graders): 6:00-7:15 p.m.

In WOW (Worship on Wednesday), kids learn about Bible stories in an interactive and engaging way.  They also have time to connect in small groups while doing activities and playing games that will help them to apply the Bible lesson for the night.  “Pajama nights” are held throughout the year for even more fun!

JUMP56 (5th and 6th Graders): 6:00-7:15 p.m.

In Jump 56 (Jesus Use Me Please), kids learn what it means to serve by parpticipating in a variety of projects, including packing kits for Lutheran World Relief; playing BINGO with residents at NewAldaya Lifescapes (formerly the Lutheran Home); making cards for soldiers, missionaries, or church members; and picking up trash on the church grounds.  A devotion is presented weekly.  Theme nights take place on occasion, and students enjoy playing games such as Fear Factor or a special version of Minute to Win It based on Bible stories.

WOW and JUMP56 runs from September 11th through November 20th and then January 22nd through April 29th.  There is no WOW or JUMP56 on Ash Wednesday (February 26) or Spring Break Week (March 18).  If Cedar Falls Schools gets out early or is canceled on a Wednesday due to weather, that automatically cancels Wednesday night student programming.

Wednesday Family Meals

Family meals are served each Wednesday night from 5:00-5:45pm prior to KidzWOW and JUMP56.  Cost per person is $4 and families of 4 or more are $15. All are welcome to enjoy these tasty meals!

Parents, you are the spiritual leaders of your families, and we want to help equip you for that eternally important task!

We invite you to join us for a parent-focused opportunity here at NAZ called POWW (Parents on Wednesday Worship). This community group meets from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesdays (during WOW and JUMP56), beginning on September 11 in Room 301. Childcare is available.

This year’s study will be Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles that Can Radically Change Your Family (by Paul Tripp).

There is a private facebook group where members can answer/discuss questions and participate in the study even if you are unable to attend the Wednesday meetings:

Click HERE to visit the page!

Please email Meg at with questions! We can’t wait to see you soon!

At the beginning of each summer, NAZ offers a high-energy, fun-filled week of VBS.  Kids are encouraged to invite their friends and neighbors to experience a week of awesome activities and learning about Jesus.  All week long, kids and volunteers will worship together, watch Bible stories be performed, work on a service project, build cool crafts, and participate in great games.  You don’t want to miss it!
